Oblivion Remastered: How to cure vampirism

Curing vampirism in Oblivion Remastered

There are two possible solutions:

  • Visiting the Font of Renewal (faster and easier) located in Deepscorn Hollow
  • Completing the Vampire Cure quest (more difficult and longer)

When you reach Deepscorn Hollow, you will get a quest that will point you towards some ruins and you have to find an hidden underwater entrance. Now, go through the door to the west, leading to the Deepscorn Cloister.

Go down the stairs at the south and you will find the Font of Renewal. You will need to find the Purgeblood Crystal Formation on a corner of the room, it will give you some purgeblood salt, that you must take to the Font of Renewal to cure your vampirism.

Old methods do not work in the remaster

If you get the disease of Porphyric Hemophilia you should be able to recover in 3 game days before turning into a vampire. Truth is, the following original ways to cure the disease do not work in this new release:

  • Drink a Cure Disease potion
  • Use a Cure Disease spell
  • Praying at a chapel altar (like the ones in Chorrol or Anvil)
