Starting from the wooden entrance of the Old Camp, let's cross the river by running on the bridge guarded by two  guards. Let's turn left and keep the forest on our right. We will meet some scavengers, molerats and bloodflies.

Let's see where is the mine on the map:

When the forest is behind us, turn right and stay close to the rock wall. We will see a wooden palisade and some towers, we might also find two templars. Let's get inside and reach the entrance to the cave: from here we can enter the Mine.

    @ParadoXal: You do not need to cross the forest, you can run on the side with the river on your left and the trees on your right, you will encounter only some scavengers and molerats, eventually some bloodflies but you can just run and jump to escape. To eliminate wolves in the first chapter I would recommend at least 20-30 of Strength and a Raw Steel Sword with 20 damage, much better if you are at least Trained with 1-handed weapons.

    Unfortunately, in the forest are wolfes, dont get near without good weapon, armor and stats in first chapter
