Deleting your saved data in Devil May Cry 5

This solution of course will erase all your progress, unlocked difficulties, items, and upgrades. The method varies depending on the platform.

On PlayStation 4/PlayStation 5:

1. Go to the PlayStation home screen.
2. Navigate to Settings.
3. Select Application Saved Data Management.
4. Choose Saved Data in System Storage.
5. Select Devil May Cry 5.
6. Press the Options button on your controller.
7. Select Delete.
8. Select the save files you wish to delete and confirm your selection.

On Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S:

1. Go to the Xbox home screen.
2. Navigate to My games & apps.
3. Highlight Devil May Cry 5.
4. Press the Menu button (the button with three horizontal lines) on your controller.
5. Select Manage game & add-ons.
6. Select Saved data.
7. Choose the save file(s) you want to delete.
8. Select Delete and confirm your choice (you'll likely have the option to delete from console only or everywhere).

PC (Steam)

1. Disable Steam Cloud synchronization for Devil May Cry 5 (Right-click the game in your library > Properties > Updates > uncheck "Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for Devil May Cry 5").
2. Navigate to the save data location. This is typically in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<Your Steam User ID>\601150\remote\win64_save\
3. Delete all the files within the win64_save folder (usually files with the .bin extension).
4. Launch the game. A new save file will be created.
5. If you want to re-enable Steam Cloud, you can do so after starting a new game. Steam will likely ask you whether to upload your local save or download the cloud save. Choose to upload your local new save.

Using a Different Profile/Account

On consoles, you can create a new user profile. Game saves are usually tied to the user profile, so playing on a new profile will give you a completely fresh game.

Similarly, on PC (if you're using Steam Family Sharing or have another Steam account), you can play the game on a different account to have separate save data.
